My Films

Roses

An apocalyptic short film about a man finding his way through the loneliness of the end of times.

This short film was for my Art of Cinematography class where we had to focus on shot composition. We had 5 requirements for this project: it had to be less than 5 minutes long, no dialogue, no text, no music, and only static (stationary) shots.

Silence

A grueling tale of a man with schizophrenia, dealing with intrusive thoughts when he begins to hear his dead fiancee's voice in his head.

For my Director's Workshop class, I had to make a short film focusing on the aspects of directing actors. My original script was unable to be made due to actor complications, and my second script was unable to be made due to location issues... But you know what they say, "Third time is the charm".

Friends

A short story about a lonely woman whose questioning of life drives her to make a fateful choice.

For my Art of Cinematography class, I had to make a short film with the limitations: no music and no dialogue. I chose to use only the unsettling sound of a heartbeat as the woman goes on throughout her evening.

SFX Makeup

Zombie Makeup

One of the short films I did in college, called "Roses" (also linked above under My Films, as well as here), had a zombie character. This gave me a chance to showcase my abilities and create my own gruesome creature. The look took 5 & 1/2 hours and was created using liquid latex, paper towels, cotton balls, acrylic nails for the teeth, fake blood, and body paint.

White Walker Makeup

When I was in 9th grade High School, I decided to have fun one weekend and recreate the look of the White Walkers from Game of Throne. I was really intrigued by their intricate lines, texture, and colors. This look took 9 & 1/2 hours and was created using liquid latex, cotton balls, and body paint. This was also my first time working with liquid latex so, I had a few trial and errors but came up with quick solutions and worked through it.

Darth Maul Makeup

During the last half of 8th grade, we had a career day where we were supposed to come to school dressed up as our dream job. At the time, mine was to be a Special Effects Makeup Artist. So, I woke up bright and early, used some Mehron body paint palettes, and made myself into Darth Maul. Star Wars has always meant a lot to me since I grew up on it so, I figured, what better way to showcase my love of SFX Makeup and Star Wars than by painting myself as Darth Maul himself. Also, this was my first time ever using body paint to create a look so, even the horns on my head are just painted on.

Storyboards

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

For my Production Design I class at the Georgia Film Academy, we had to learn how to create storyboards. We got to choose which movie and scene we wanted to recreate a storyboard for so, being the Star Wars (and Kylo Ren) enthusiast that I am, I chose Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, the interrogation scene between Kylo Ren and Rey. Moodboards

Phantom of the Opera

For my Production Design I class at the Georgia Film Academy, we learned how to create moodboards. Our task was to create a moodboard from a movie of our choosing and have our classmates guess which film it was. I chose the Phantom of the Opera (2004) due to its warm colors, dramatic sets, and chilling story.

Scripts

My Little Froggy

For my Screenwriting For Film & Television class, I had to write a creative script. I chose to write a script about a young woman mourning the loss of her father. Through the script, we envision her memories as a sweet little girl, a moody teenager, and a remorseful adult. I decided upon the title by choosing an important object in the film.
