I AM RESILIENT

I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia in a dysfunctional household. I moved around a lot, attending 14 schools in total throughout my life. Growing up, I didn't have many friends and was always outcast for being different. However, I didn't take being different as a bad thing. I wanted to stand out, to be recognized, to be known. My passion started in Special Effects Makeup when I was in middle school. I would recreate makeup looks such as the White Walkers from Game of Thrones, Darth Maul from Star Wars, and a Zombie from The Walking Dead.

However, my love for Special Effects Makeup grew into something more when I discovered the behind-the-scenes of cinematography. I fell in love with assistant directing, shot composition, and how filmmaking could be used as a way to explain ones thoughts and dreams. I attended Georgia Gwinnett College to further my knowledge and passion for filmmaking, attaining not only a Bachelor's in Cinema - Design & Production but also a certificate for Film & Television Production from the Georgia Film Academy, and OSHA 10 Certification.

As I made my way through college, my dream turned into becoming a First Assistant Director. I love the leadership, management, organization, and scheduling side of being a 1st A.D. However, I feel that the most rewarding part of being a 1st Assistant Director is helping the director achieve their goals and bringing their visions to life.
